HOW TO GET TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR SCHENGEN VISA AND EUROPE TRIP

HOW TO GET TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR SCHENGEN VISA AND EUROPE TRIP

Are you applying for a Schengen Visa but don't know where to get Travel Insurance? This blog is for you!! I will guide you on how to get it ONLINE and how much you will pay.

The embassy advised the applicants to get a travel insurance in a company that meet the minimum requirements for Schengen Area including medical costs of 30,000 Euro. In my experience, when I applied for a visit visa & family reunification visa bound for Germany, I bought travel insurance online at AXA- Schengen. I also recommend and use this for my previous and current clients.

AXA Assistance has developed the AXA Schengen insurance policy. This is a travel insurance policy that meets all the requirements of the decision of the Council of the European Union for obtaining a Schengen visa.

STEP - BY - STEP GUIDE TO BUY AXA- Schengen Travel Insurance - ONLINE

1) Go to their official website or you can easily click 👉 here.

2) Provide the number of people (beneficiaries) and the intended travel coverage.

The date entered here is from the date of your arrival in Schengen Area until to your departure date from Schengen to home country.

( Example: From- July 1, 2025 arrival date

To- September 28, 2025 intended departure date (return)

for a total of 90 days then click Get Your Quote.

3) Now, you can select in any of the 3 offers for 90 Days from AXA Schengen.

Schengen Low Cost (Essential) - €99 (approx. 6,600 PHP)
Covers all countries part of the Schengen area
Medical Cost €30,000

Schengen Europe Travel (Serenity) - €179.01 (11,900 PHP)
Medical expenses covered up to €100,000

Schengen Multi Trip (Annual) - €327.99 (21,700 PHP)
Frequent traveler

(The price will of course depend on your intended duration of stay (days) in Schengen Area.)

In my experience, I always choose Schengen Europe Travel insurance because the coverage includes not only the Schengen area but also the UK, Ireland, and Cyprus. But if you're on a tight budget and only plan to visit countries within the Schengen area, then the Schengen Low Cost option is the best for you. If you're a frequent traveler and plan to travel several times a year, then the Multi Trip option is the most suitable choice.

Click Continue.

4) Fill the form for the policy holder's information (the one who pays the insurance).

You can check the box if you are the person traveling (insured).

 Click consents box, then continue.

5) Choose your preferred payment method.

Confirm payment.

6) After payment, the documents and insurance certificate for your visa application will be available for download on the confirmation page and sent to your email.

7) Print your insurance policy certificate and submit it with your Schengen visa application.
